Computer Field Service Manager

This position will be primarily managing the support center personnel and over seeing technicians out in the field with technical and logistical issues. We prefer that you have a minimum of 5 years experience working for a computer service company as a computer field service technician. You will need a technical background with experience repairing a variety of hardware servers, printers, network hardware etc. You will need experience working on desktop equipment through high end servers. If you have experience with line printers that would be helpful. . This is a direct employee position and is full time with full benefits. You must be ready for a management position with excellent communication skills to handle end user clients professionally and clearly communicate technical issues.
   

Location:

Pleasanton California (We require you live or relocate within 25 miles of the Pleasanton office)
Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience working for a computer service company as a computer field service technician repairing a variety of hardware servers, printers, network hardware etc. You will need experience working on desktop equipment through high end servers.
Product Knowledge:
Hardware troubleshooting and repair experience with mid to large servers, network hardware, desk top laser printers through high end laser printers is required.

Experience with midsize Sun(Enterprise/Sun Fire), IBM (RS6000/AS400) or HP(9000/3000) Unix servers is helpfull but not required.

Experience with line printers like Printronix, Genicom or C.Itoh is helpfull but not required.

Operating System experience with Microsoft, Unix and Solaris system administration very helpful but may not be required. Product knowledge of Cisco, Sun Microsystems, HP, Dell, IBM, Printronix, Genicom extremely helpful.
